The body of the mount, as well as the worm supports, and the plate of the declination axis, must be reduced in order to be able to place the new motor supports.
In order to decrease the mount body perpendicular to the RA axis, we need a machined reference face. This is on the same side as the reduction to be made, so we need a second on the other side !
The worm supports have also been reduced, in order to take into account the extra thickness of the new motor supports. The ends of the worms were mounted on wedges in order to obtain a milled surface parallel to their axis.
The parallelism of the part on the machine was adjusted using the two small reference faces, and a pupitast.
